Prilep, 3rd April 2014 (MIA) – Subsidies are fully paid to the tobacco growers, and we are discussing, these days, with the tobacco companies to sign the contracts with them, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, said after today’s visit to the Municipality of Prilep and the meeting with the businessmen from the Prilep region.

– What we are doing now as additional effort is to secure for the tobacco companies to sign the contracts with the tobacco growers as agreed ten and so days ago, Stavreski pointed out.

According to him, the government would not walk out on tobacco growers resolve the problem on their own.

– We will insist on the tobacco companies to observe what they have promised, to sign contracts with all tobacco growers with which they signed contracts in 2013, with the quantities we determined on that meeting, Stavreski stressed.

Following yesterday’s last meeting with the tobacco companies, Deputy Prime Minister expects for the signing of contracts with the tobacco growers for the new tobacco harvest to be intensified these days.
