16th December 2020, Skopje – Funds for one-off compensation for all healthcare workers and personnel in the hospital treating COVID-19 patients, as well as fund for procurement of insulin and COVID-19 vaccines are provided with Budget reallocation for this year, totaling Denar 1.3 billion, which the Parliament approved today. In addition, funds are also provided for the Guarantee Fund for payment of state aid on the basis of concluded contracts, as well as for purchasing the building of Joint Stock Company for Managing Housing Premises.

– Under the decision, higher level of Budget execution will be achieved, at the same time supporting the highest-priority sectors in times of crisis induced by COVID-19, the health sector and the private sector, Minister of Finance, Fatmir Besimi said.

Additional Denar 384 million is reallocated in the healthcare sector, out of which Denar 184 for settlement of liabilities of the public health institutions, Denar 82 million for procurement of insulin and COVID-19 vaccines, Denar 117 million for payment of one-off compensation for the healthcare workers and personnel engaged in the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

Denar 90 million is reallocated for development support by guaranteeing working capital loans and fixed asset loans approved by banks and savings houses – Guarantee Fund.

In addition, Denar 620 million is provided for purchasing the building of the Joint Stock Company for Managing Housing Premises, thus avoiding rental costs and resolving the issue of accommodating the employees in the state bodies.

Denar 90 million is reallocated for the public broadcasting service for continuous program and technical and technological development, and Denar 135 million is reallocated for payment of state aid on the basis of concluded contracts.
