On November 3, 2020, the Ministry of Finance published the Draft Public Internal Financial Control System Law on the Unique National Electronic Register of Regulations of the Republic of North Macedonia (ENER) and on the website of the Ministry of Finance at the following link.
The Draft Public Internal Financial Control System Law contains mechanisms for strengthening the system of internal financial control in the public sector in accordance with the international standards for internal control and internal audit, as well as the best European practices.
The draft law was prepared in cooperation with experts from the Twinning project “Strengthening the functions of budget planning, execution and internal control” funded by the EU.
