Andriana Matlioska, PhD, is the State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of North Macedonia, with over a decade of professional experience in the field of public finance, banking, compliance, and corporate governance.
She embarked on her professional career at the Ministry of Finance in early 2015, where she held several key positions related to monitoring of the financial operations of public enterprises and agencies, budgetary processes, and policy-making processes. During the period 2021 - 2024, she acted as Chief Compliance Officer, Data Protection Officer and FATCA Responsible Officer at one of the commercial banks in the country, where she was in charge of regulatory compliance, legal risk management, and implementation of international financial standards. In 2024, she returned to the Ministry of Finance as Special Advisor to the Minister and was soon appointed State Secretary.
Matlioska holds a PhD in Law with a specialization in business and labor law and she holds a Master of Laws in Business Law as well, being also awarded Specialist Certificate in Corporate Governance and Compliance, in line with the European Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training.
She is an active member of multiple national committees and working groups in the field of financial stability, anti-money laundering, public finance management, and anti-corruption. She has also participated in numerous international conferences and forums organized by the World Bank, IMF, OECD, and the European Union, contributing to the strengthening of financial governance and international cooperation.
By combining academic expertise with extensive practical experience in the financial sector, Andriana Matlioska, PhD, plays a major role in fostering transparency, accountability, and sustainable financial development in the Republic of North Macedonia.
