Dimitrieska-Kochoska heard out the demands of the chartered accountants – they are to be submitted in writing, legal amendments to overcome the issue with annual accounts submission submitted to the Parliament

20th February 2025, Skopje – Today, Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska gave consideration to the demands of the chartered accountants, who protested in front of the Ministry of Finance, asking for resolution of the issue related to the submission of 2024 annual accounts.

“I put the ongoing meeting with the Chamber of Crafts on hold, so as to hear out the chartered accountants, and asked for their demands to be submitted to the Archives Unit of the Ministry of Finance, in writing, all to the end of taking proper actions thereupon”, Minister of Finance said.

She also informed them that legal amendments to address the issue at hand were already submitted to the Parliament, more to the point, for the accountants under temporary deregistration to be reinstated and, thus be able to sign the 2024 annual accounts as part of their regular practice.

“With respect to all other legal obstacles, terms and conditions and limitations, we are to have further discussions with all relevant stakeholders since we put our faith in open dialogue and professional commitment. Whether among the opposition ranks in the past or now as a Minister of Finance, I firmly stand behind my views, built throughout the years, based on practicing proper and lawful operations, which will certainly be the case in future as well”, the Minister posted on her Facebook profile.
