24th June 2024, Skopje – Handover of the ministerial position took place within MoF’s building this morning. New Minister Gordana Dimitrieska- Kochoska took over the office from the so-far Minister of Finance, Fatmir Besimi.
During the meeting, Besimi introduced the new Minister with the ongoing activities and projects carried out by the Ministry of Finance, thereby pointing out MoF’s crucial role in the society, as well as the significant importance of carrying out the required reforms, which will provide for sustainable finance and economic growth.
“I took over this position from my predecessor, former Minister Fatmir Besimi, thus committing myself to working with great devotion and honesty while acting as Minister of Finance,” Minister Dimitrieska-Kochoska wrote on her FB profile.
Dimitrieska-Kochoska is part of the Government of Prime Minister, Hristijan Mickoski, which was voted yesterday in the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia.
Fatmir Besimi has held the position of Minister of Finance since September 2020.
