13th October 2026, Skopje - Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska will participate in the regular Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group, taking place this week in Bangkok, Thailand.
As part of the Annual Meetings, the Minister will hold bilateral meetings with senior representatives of the World Bank and the IMF, as well as representatives of international financial institutions, and attend meetings focusing on regional economic prospects and global economic challenges.
During the Annual Meetings, the Minister will meet with Antonella Bassani, World Bank Vice President, and Alfonso Garcia Mora, IFC Vice President for Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. A meeting is also scheduled with Eugene Rhuggenaath, World Bank Executive Director representing the constituency of which Macedonia is a member. The meetings will center on the ongoing cooperation, activities underway, and opportunities to further strengthen cooperation.
The Minister will also meet with Bo Li, IMF Deputy Managing Director, and Mateusz Szczurek, Director of the IMF’s European Department.
The agenda also encompasses meetings with Jeroen Clicq, IMF Executive Director, and Marnix van Rij, Alternate Executive Director, as well as the meeting of the constituency countries and events dedicated to regional economic outlooks.
Meeting of the constituency countries, events held as part of the Annual Meetings, and the plenary session of the IMF/WB Annual Meetings are also part of the agenda.
These meetings provide an opportunity to exchange views on current economic developments and fiscal policies, as well as to explore opportunities for strengthening cooperation with international financial institutions.
The delegation attending the Annual Meetings also includes Trajko Slaveski, Governor of the National Bank.
