23rd June 2025, Bečići – Empowered institutions are the true engines of sustainable changes. They turn vision into impact, Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska, highlighted in her closing remarks of the 2025 CEF Forum, held in Bečići, Montenegro.
In her address, the Minister highlighted that institutional development is not viewed as a supporting element of reform – it is its foundation. She emphasized that public institutions must be strategically oriented, act with integrity and respond with agility to challenges, especially in the field of public finance management.
“Our ability to achieve lasting reform depends not only on policies and plans, but on the capacity and resilience of the institutions entrusted with them,” Dimitrieska-Kochoska noted.
Therefore, as indicated by Dimitrieska-Kochoska, the Ministry of Finance has placed institutional development at the core of its reform strategy by establishing the Public Finance Academy, as a testament to this commitment.
“The Academy is not simply a training center – it is a catalyst for building competencies and nurturing a sustainable learning culture,” she said.
At the Forum, Dimitrieska-Kochoska also underscored the importance of regional dialogue and peer learning, expressing gratitude to international partners for their support through technical assistance, advice and capacity-building programs.
The Minister also expressed special gratitude to the CEF Governing Board for their trust and leadership on the occasion of the Republic of North Macedonia assuming the Chairing of the Governing Board.
