16th June 2026, Skopje - Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska, delivered remarks at the inaugural IFC Day in North Macedonia, an event organized by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
During her address, the Minister highlighted that amid global challenges, investments, innovations, and a strong private sector remain the key drivers of economic growth, productivity, and job creation.
"Our commitment is to foster investments that produce higher value added, create new jobs, and boost the competitiveness on the international markets, as well as through integration into global value chains," Minister Dimitrieska-Kochoska underlined.
She stressed that the Government remains committed to creating a stable, predictable, and business-friendly environment for investments, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development, with the IFC partnership holding particular importance, not only in terms of financial support, but through its expertise and the transfer of international best practices.
Minister welcomed IFC’s support for the implementation of major investment projects, including the development of the Wind Parк in Shtip, as well as the investments in industrial modernization and decarbonization, highlighting their contribution to job creation, technology transfer, and boosted competitiveness of the domestic economy.
Dimitrieska-Kochoska noted that Macedonian economy has recorded growth for seven quarters in a row, with the latest data indicating a GDP growth of 3.1% in the first quarter of 2026, which serves as a testimony to policies aimed at stability, investments, and private sector support that are delivering tangible results
