25th November 2025, Skopje - New auction of development bond for citizens will take place in the first half of December, Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska, stated in her guest appearance on TV 24.
She underlined that the details of the auction will be available once the Prospectus is published, adding that citizens have shown interest in these bonds in recent months.
“Citizens have repeatedly asked the Ministry of Finance whether a new auction of these bonds is planned. This indicates that, in a way, the investment culture among the public is changing. I expect the same group of investors, counting no more than 2,000 people, to invest again, with the total amount invested expected to be modest”, Dimitrieska-Kochoska underlined.
She also noted that, in response to the interest shown, experience of Slovenia and Croatia was analyzed, showing that there is virtually no interest in investing in such instrument in Slovenia, while in Croatia interest has been exceptionally strong.
The Minister further highlighted that EUR 190 million under the Hungarian Loan Facility intended for support of domestic companies has already been disbursed, thus achieving the main objective of helping the companies invest and continue their operations.
“We have demonstrated through figures that we have achieved the objective. If GDP data show strong momentum and statistical indicators in the construction sector show growth in the respective sector, it is clear that we have met our goal - supporting the private sector and creating conditions that encourage the businesses to stay and invest here in the long run, rather than consider closing or relocating elsewhere. With businesses investing here, the objective has been met”, the Minister stressed.
As regards the funds under the Hungarian Loan Facility intended for supporting municipal project implementation, she pointed out that Denar 21 million was spent in 2024 and Denar 2.2 billion in 2025, adding that real impact on the ground may be even greater, which will become evident in the period ahead.
