16th June 2026, Skopje – Today, the Ministry of Finance paid Denar 2,028,714,243 as subsidies for tobacco produced and delivered from the 2025 harvest season to 15,144 tobacco producers.
This confirms the Government’s commitment to providing continuous and timely support to agriculture as one of the country’s key economic sectors, with particular emphasis on tobacco production as a strategic and traditionally important activity.
Regular and timely subsidy payments contribute to greater financial stability for farmers, sustained agricultural production and long-term development of rural areas.
Both the Government and the Ministry of Finance remain committed to policies in support of boosted competitiveness of domestic agriculture, higher incomes for the farmers, and sustainable development of the agricultural sector
