12th March 2025, Skopje – Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska, will take part in the WHO high-level meeting dedicated to eliminating harmful effects of consuming tobacco.
This high-level meeting is attended by Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Finance from the countries in the region, representatives of the WHO and the European Commission, the United Kingdom, Slovenia, the World Bank, the World Customs Organization, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, as well as representatives of the academia.
The objective is to raise the awareness of the problem of illicit tobacco and how it impacts the tax administration, the health and the sustainable development, the potential of the countries to tackle illicit trade in tobacco products and share experience in coping with this problem.
