5th March 2026, Skopje - Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska, held a meeting today with the Governor of the National Bank, Trajko Slaveski, during which they discussed the fiscal and the monetary policy, as well as the continued maintaining of the stability of the financial system. The meeting is part of the regular coordination between the fiscal and the monetary authorities.
The Minister touched upon the legal framework governing the functioning of the financial system, emphasizing the importance of maintaining its stability, while the Governor outlined the measures being undertaken by the monetary authority.
They also discussed the global developments. During the meeting, they underscored the significance of continued coordination between the fiscal and the monetary policy, noting that the domestic economy remains stable, while the institutions continue to closely monitor the external risks and their potential impact on macroeconomic indicators.
