19th May 2026, Skopje – Today, the Public Finance Academy within the Ministry of Finance organized a training session on the topic “Risk Management”, targeting managerial staff in the Ministry of Finance.
The training was organized with the aim of enhancing the knowledge of Ministry of Finance staff on the risk management process, while also strengthening their role in the establishment and implementation of the public sector internal financial control system.
The State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Andriana Matlioska, PhD, also attended the training session, where she highlighted the importance of a systemic approach to risk management, as well as the continuous strengthening of institutional capacity.
During the training, multiple topics of relevance were covered, among which:
- methodological aspects of risk management;
- connection between risk management, strategic planning and managerial accountability;
- practical examples and effective practices in the risk management process;
- legislative updates and key aspects of public sector internal financial control;
- tasks and responsibilities of participants in the risk management process.
Mite Mitevski, PhD, Head of the Central Harmonization Department for the Public Sector Internal Financial Control System, delivered the training, using practical examples and interactive discussions to further explain the key aspects of the current risk management process.
The participants had the opportunity to actively engage in discussions, exchange experiences, and receive answers to issues related to the application of the risk management system in their day‑to‑day operations.
The Ministry of Finance will continue to organize professional trainings and activities focused on strengthening the capacities of the public administration and advancing the public financial management control.
