22nd April 2026, Skopje - The Government will continue pursuing policies that foster a stable, predictable and transparent business environment, allowing investors to make long-term plans and expand, the Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska, stated during the British Business Association’s event marking the third anniversary of its founding and active presence in the country.
She underscored that the United Kingdom stands as one of Macedonia’s key economic partners, as evidenced by the figures on foreign trade - imports and exports, as well as investment inflows from the United Kingdom.
“British investments hold particular significance, as they extend beyond mere financial capital. They bring new technologies, raise operational standards, support human capital development, create high-quality jobs, and generate value added to the economy”, the Minister pointed out.
She also highlighted the signing of the Strategic Partnership between the United Kingdom and the Republic of North Macedonia, which has elevated our cooperation to a new, higher level, standing as a testimony to the United Kingdom’s long-term commitment to further deepening political, economic and trade relations between our two countries.
As she stated, she is confident that in the years ahead we will witness even stronger trade cooperation, increased investment inflows, and new joint projects that will deliver tangible benefits for our citizens and our economies.
Founded in 2023, the British Business Association is committed to deepening the trade relations with the United Kingdom, representing the British companies operating in the country and assisting other companies that maintain UK-related business interests.
