28th September 2026, Skopje - Ministry of Finance is among the eight institutions with a very high level of active transparency (above 90%), according to the 2026 Active Transparency Index published by the Center for Civil Communications. The Ministry improved its ranking by one place compared to last year, or by 1.7%.
With an active transparency score of 94%, the Ministry of Finance ranked fourth among the ministries and the Government according to active transparency, and 21st in the Overall Ranking as per the 2026 Active Transparency Index, which covers the ministries, the Government and municipalities.

As the institution entrusted with managing public finances, the Ministry of Finance places transparency and accountability at the core of its work, recognizing them as essential to building a responsible institution founded on integrity.
Overall average active transparency score of ministries, the Government and municipalities in 2026 stands at 82% out of a maximum possible 100%, being two percentage points higher than in the previous year, when it stood at 80%. The average active transparency score of the ministries and the Government alone reached 86%, up two percentage points from 84% in 2025.
