13th November 2025, Skopje – Starting tomorrow, Ministry of Finance will pay the principal and the interest for the second year of the second issue of development bond for citizens. Funds amounting to EUR 17.6 million, along with interest of EUR 880,000, will be paid on the accounts of citizens who purchased development bond for citizens under the second issue.
The second issue of development bond for citizens by the Ministry of Finance, took place on 7th November 2023, with a two-year maturity period and 5% interest rate per year. The interest for the first year was paid in November last year, amounting to Denar 54,274,000, or EUR 880,000.
Development bond for citizens, introduced in 2023 as a new instrument, aims to diversify both the portfolio with new financing instruments available on the financial market, and the sources of funding the economic policies.
So far, 2 issues of development bonds took place, totaling EUR 41.1 million. During the first issue, amount of the purchased bonds was EUR 23.5 million, while totaling EUR 17.6 million during the second issue.
In fact, in recent months, Ministry of Finance has analyzed the financial market and the trends in the region and Europe to the end of diversifying the portfolio of financing instruments aimed at making investments by the citizens, whereby preparatory actions for the new issue of development bond for citizens are already in progress.
