2nd October 2025, Skopje - Young public sector professionals from across the Western Balkans, taking part in the study visit organized within the WeLead Project, visited the Ministry of Finance today. During their visit, they met with the Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska, who introduced them to the Ministry’s work, its role in pursuing the economic policy and managing public finances.
Addressing the participants, the Minister stressed that young people are future drivers of changes in the public sector, highlighting that their role is crucial for building more efficient, more transparent and modern institutions.
“You bring forward new ideas, energy and vision. Your role in building more efficient, more transparent and modern institutions is vital to the future of all our countries”, the Minister said.
Speaking about the regional dimension, she noted that Macedonia is an active member of the Center of Excellence in Finance, currently chairing the CEF Governing Board, through which the WeLead Project is implemented, underlining that “national progress and regional cooperation are inseparably linked”.
In closing, the Minister urged the young participants to be courageous in promoting new ideas, to foster accountability and transparency, and to leverage the visit as an opportunity to exchange experiences and build lasting partnerships.
