19th December 2025, Skopje – Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska, held a working meeting with Jason Wynnycky, Associate Director for Budget and Financial Accountability at the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Technical Assistance (OTA).
The discussion focused on advancing budget processes within the Reform Agenda and implementing the Organic Budget Law, while emphasizing the pivotal role of the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Technical Assistance (OTA) in strengthening multiple aspects of Budget planning, execution, and accounting.
Ministry of Finance, with support from the U.S. Treasury and its Office of Technical Assistance, is continuously working to strengthen institutional capacities and build a modern, robust public finance system.
As part of the cooperation, the Ministry of Finance’s budget planning system, its structure, classifications and processes, was initially developed with technical assistance from the United States and now provides a solid foundation for modern public finance management.
Under this technical cooperation, draft versions of all key budget classifications have been prepared to date, including economic, functional, program, organizational, and funding-source classifications.
