6th May 2026, Skopje - During her visit to Brussels, Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska, met with the Director-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations in the European Commission, Gert Jan Koopman, to discuss the implementation of the reforms and the progress achieved under the Reform Agenda 2024 - 2027.
At the meeting, progress accomplished to date in implementing the reforms was underscored, as well as the pace of upcoming activities. The Minister highlighted that the Ministry of Finance is investing its full capacity in meeting the obligations, with considerable progress already achieved, and stressed that the Government remains fully committed to the reform process.
During the meeting, the Minister pointed out that steps are being taken in public finance to enhance both accountability and transparency, highlighting that these reforms are integral to a broader transformation aimed at bringing the economy closer to the EU single market, strengthening institutional capacity and delivering tangible benefits for the citizens and the businesses.
As underlined at the meeting, the country remains fully aligned with the European Union in political, economic and strategic terms.
