22nd July 2026, Skopje - The Government adopted the amended 2026 Supplementary Budget at its session, implementing the approved amendments that provide additional funding for women farmers, the national SOS support line for victims of domestic and gender-based violence, as well as for the opening and operations of two shelters for such victims.
The amended Draft Supplementary Budget, with the amendments incorporated following deliberations by the parliamentary Financing and Budget Commission, will be submitted to the Parliament for consideration and adoption.
Under the Supplementary Budget, total revenues and expenditures are revised to Denar 379.5 million and Denar 425.8 billion, respectively, with the additional funds being allocated for clearly defined priorities.
Additional funds for agricultural subsidies, subsidies for rail transport, sports support, as well as for support to student and pupil standard have been provided under the Supplementary Budget. Additional support has also been provided for the most vulnerable groups through social transfers, companies hiring disabled persons, soup kitchens and deinstitutionalization measures, along with additional funds provided for healthcare. Under the Supplementary Budget, additional funds have been provided for capital investments of around Denar 46 billion, being a 14.5% increase compared to the initial Budget. At the same time, expenditures for goods and services have been reduced, with the budget deficit being projected in the amount of Denar 46.3 billion, accounting for 4.1% of GDP. Economic growth is projected at 3.5%.
