Minister of Finance Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska is on a working visit to the Slovak Republic

6th May 2026, Skopje - Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska, is currently undertaking a two‑day working visit to the Slovak Republic at the invitation of the Minister of Finance, Ladislav Kamenický.

As part of the visit, tête‑à‑tête meeting between the two ministers is scheduled, followed by bilateral meetings of the delegations. In addition, a meeting will be held between the State Secretaries of the Ministries of Finance of both countries - Andrijana Matlioska representing Macedonia, and Radovan Majerský and Daniela Kľučková representing the Slovak Republic.

The meetings will place special emphasis on tax process digitalization, including e‑invoicing, electronic fiscal systems, and modern payment solutions, while also strengthening transparency and intensifying efforts to combat tax evasion.

During her visit, discussions will also address regional cooperation in developing capital markets, in line with the Memorandum of Understanding, pertaining to cooperation with respect to capital market development signed among eight countries, i.e. EU Member States and the Republic of North Macedonia.

As part of the agenda, a joint press conference by the Ministers of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska and Ladislav Kamenický, is also scheduled.

The visit takes place only a few months following the visit of Slovak Minister of Finance, Ladislav Kamenický to the Republic of North Macedonia, being aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation between the two countries and promoting the exchange of experience in the field of public finance.
