19th September 2025, Skopje – Deputy Minister of Finance, Nikolche Jankulovski, attended the ceremony marking the 65th Anniversary since the establishment of the Faculty of Economics – Prilep. Deputy Minister in his remarks emphasized the significance of the Faculty of Economics as one of the cornerstones of economic thought in the country.
“These halls have produced professionals who provide input, on a daily basis, to the Ministry of Finance, the Public Revenue Office, the Customs Administration, the National Bank and other institutions. At the same time, many of this Faculty’s alumni are key drivers of private sector development – serving as entrepreneurs, managers, and financial experts in leading companies. Your mission is of national importance – to shape generations ready to face the economic challenges of the modern era”, Jankulovski pointed out.
At the ceremony, the Dean, Professor Dragica Odjaklieska, PhD, addressed the audience, expounding on the Faculty’s mission to cultivate skilled professionals, equipped with knowledge of modern trends. The Rector, Professor Igor Nedelkovski, PhD, also delivered remarks, highlighting the significance of the Faculty of Economics as an integral part of the St. Kliment Ohridski University and its vital role in advancing higher education. Meanwhile, the Mayor of the City of Prilep, Borche Jovcheski noted the Faculty’s contribution to both the local development and the creation of economically resilient municipalities.
This jubilee attests to the Faculty’s success in bridging tradition with contemporary trends in education, making a strong impact on both the public and the private sector, while shaping a vision for the future.
