18th September 2025, Skopje - Public Finance Academy within the Ministry of Finance, organized an online training, as part of the 2025 Annual Training Program, on the topic "Risk Management". The training was designed for public sector employees who, throughout their day-to-day operations, are exposed to various types of risks, including financial, legal, organizational, and operational risks.
The training was delivered by trainers — experts in the field of risk management—employed in the Department for Central Harmonization of the Public Financial Control System in the Public Sector within the Ministry of Finance, who conveyed the crucial importance of effective risk management in public institutions through presentations, case studies, and interactive methods.
By using an interactive online platform, participants were provided with the opportunity to get introduced with the key principles and methods for effective risk management, as well as practical tools for risk assessment and analysis. Special emphasis was placed on the new Methodology for Risk Management in Public Entities, followed by an in-depth examination of the contents and the practical application thereof. The objective was for participants to attain a clear comprehension of the manner in which the methodology should be implemented and to be fully competent in exercising effective risk management within their institutions.
Training contributed to enhancing the capacities of public sector employees to manage risks promptly and efficiently, all to the end of improving the quality in fulfilling their responsibilities.
Ministry of Finance remains, through Public Finance Academy, committed to continuous education and professional development of public sector employees. The remaining trainings outlined in the 2025 Training Program are currently in progress, along with specialized ad-hoc trainings tailored to address the ongoing needs and challenges in the field of public finance.
