12th December 2025, Skopje – Gender-responsive budgeting was a key topic at the conference entitled “Gender Equality at the Core of EU Accession”, attended by Deputy Minister of Finance, Nikolche Jankulovski.
“Strengthening gender equality systems requires integrating gender-responsive budgeting across all ministries and municipalities, addressing financial and administrative obstacles, and ensuring transparent monitoring and effective use of the funds allocated therefor,“ Jankulovski said.
He emphasized that effective policies and tangible progress in gender equality depend on coordinated institutional cooperation and transparent monitoring of outcomes.
At the panel discussion, the role of gender-responsive budgeting was highlighted as a key tool for integrating a gender perspective into public policies, addressing financial and administrative barriers, and strengthening transparency and accountability in the use of public funds.
