14th October 2026, Skopje – Today, Deputy Minister of Finance, Nikolche Jankulovski held a meeting at the Ministry of Finance with a high-level EBRD delegation led by Rene van Hell, Board Director at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and Grzegorz Zieliński, Managing Director for Central and South-Eastern Europe.
Discussions focused on current macroeconomic developments, implementation of infrastructure and energy projects green transition, support for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as opportunities to further deepen the cooperation.
Deputy Minister, Jankulovski underscored the Government’s and the Ministry of Finance’s commitment to preserving macroeconomic stability, pursuing fiscal consolidation, and implementing structural reforms aimed at scaled-up investments, boosted economic growth, and higher citizens’ living standard.
EBRD is one of the country’s key international financial partners, with 219 projects approved to date, totaling approximately EUR 3.2 billion.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership, with a particular focus on implementing the priority development projects and fostering sustainable and long-term economic growth.
