19th September 2026, Prilep – Ministry of Finance deepens cooperation with academia. Today, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Finance and Faculty of Economics in Prilep at St. Kliment Ohridski University - Bitola. The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by the Deputy Minister of Finance, Prof. Nikolche Jankulovski, PhD, and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics in Prilep, Prof. Tatjana Spaseska, PhD.
The Memorandum provides an opportunity for both institutions to exchange knowledge, experience, and expertise, implement joint activities and initiatives, and further strengthen the connection between the academia and experts, and the processes of formulating and implementing public finance policies.
The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed during the XIV International Conference EBSiDE 2026, organized by the Faculty of Economics in Prilep, where Deputy Minister Jankulovski delivered a plenary address titled “From Digitalization to Intelligent Public Finances”.
In his address, he reflected on the transformation of public finances, from the introduction of digital services to the development of integrated, reliable, and data-driven systems, as well as on reforms in public financial management, tax administration, and customs administration.
A particular emphasis was placed on the steps towards greater interoperability, advanced analytics, and the responsible application of artificial intelligence, with the aim of enabling higher-quality and more timely decision-making.
