1st October 2025, Skopje - For thirteenth consecutive year, Ministry of Finance and National Bank have launched the traditional contest for primary and secondary school students in celebration of the World Savings Day - 31st October. The contest aims to inspire students’ creativity, imagination and interest in the importance of saving for the future, as well as the role of savings, money and financial services in the modern digital era.
Primary school students are invited to submit a literary and/or artistic work on the theme: “Saving for Our Dreams, Saving for Our Future”. The 12 best works submitted by primary school students will be awarded cash prizes as follows: 3 prizes for the best artwork/digital artwork by students attending 1 - 5 grade; 3 prizes for the best artwork/digital artwork by students attending 6 - 9 grade; 3 prizes for the best song by students attending 1 - 5 grade and 3 prizes for the best story by students attending 6 - 9 grade.
Secondary school students are invited to submit a literary work - an essay - on the theme: “Saving, Money and Financial Services in the Modern Digital Era”. The 3 best essays submitted by secondary school students will be awarded cash prizes.
The submission deadline is 15th October 2025.
List of award-winning students will be published no later than 31st October 2025 on the websites of the National Bank and the Ministry of Finance.
The Ministry of Finance and the National Bank invite all interested students to participate in the contest. We are confident that, once again this year, the contest will attract strong interest from primary and secondary school students across the country and further encourage them to build and develop good saving habits.
