17th December 2024, Skopje – Digitalisation of the Economic Reform Programme preparation process, as part of the pre-accession process in the area of the economic governance, being coordinated by the Ministry of Finance and involving over 20 institutions, has been successfully completed. In MoF’s premises, Donation Contract was signed, for official handover of donation in the form of software application developed by the German Association for International Cooperation (GIZ), as donation benefactor. The Contract was signed by the Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska, and GIZ’s Country Director, David Oberhuber.
“Digitalisation of the process of preparing this significant document, which is part of the Economic and Financial Dialogue, will contribute to upgrading and streamlining the ERP preparation process. The software application will allow both the Ministry of Finance and all relevant institutions included in this process to effectively create and monitor the implementation of the Economic Reform Programme, as the most significant strategic document regarding the Economic Dialogue with the European Commission and the EU Member States. The interoperable platform will provide for smooth communication among institutions, higher visibility and chronological order of the performed changes when preparing the Programme, monitoring the deadlines for its preparation, as well as automatic compilation, creating a “Library“ of all major national and EU-related documentation pertaining to the process. It will also lessen the workload of the Ministry of Finance’s team in charge of coordinating the entire process of the Programme preparation, as well as its approval by the Government and its submission to the European Commission’s services”, the Minister highlighted.
In addition to ERP preparation, the application will also be used for the purposes of the Economic and Financial Dialogue with the EU – a process of jointly agreed policy guidance, with recommendations for priority reforms pertaining to fiscal and structural policies which are to be incorporated in the national budgets, and the implementation of which is monitored and assessed on annual basis.
