Public Investment Management Department
Public Investment Management Department is in charge of performing activities related to appraisal of public infrastructure projects primarily from the aspect of fiscal impact, risks and sustainability, providing opinions and recommendations on projects, preparing a summary list of proposed, reviewed and appraised new public infrastructure projects, consolidating the priority list of public infrastructure projects, monitoring the public infrastructure projects, as well as developing and updating the methodologies for project preparation and appraisal. This Department is also responsible for coordinating the operations with the Line Ministry as regards gathering new proposals related to public investment projects (public infrastructure projects), providing expert opinion on the economic and financial aspect of the revised pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, monitoring and appraising the preparedness related to the project documentation pertaining to public infrastructure projects in terms of meeting the financing terms and conditions, preparing the list of appraised public infrastructure projects, being submitted to the competent authorities/bodies, for adoption, regulating the procedure for defining, preparing, considering, appraising and registering the public investment projects by the competent ministries and others public entities. In addition, the Department is in charge of monitoring and analyzing the public infrastructure projects, preparing reports for monitoring public infrastructure projects, cooperating with other sectors and institutions for the purpose of getting and providing information related to the public infrastructure projects.
