6th December 2017, Sophia – Government delegation headed by Minister of Finance Dragan Tevdovski, PhD and the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Economic Affairs, Koco Angusev, met World Bank CEO, Kristalina Georgieva, accompanied by Regional Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Cyril Miller and Linda Van Gelder, World Bank’s Regional Director for Western Balkans, this afternoon in Sophia.
During the meeting, the held discussions were related to deepening the cooperation between the Western Balkan countries, as well as the support the World Bank extends.
Government delegation of the Republic of Macedonia expressed the Government’s firm stance about intensifying the infrastructure projects, as well as strengthening the linkages as regards trade, transport and information technology
During the meeting, both parties expressed their mutual consent that such improvement of the cooperation will continue in future as well.
This meeting was held before tomorrow’s International Conference in Sophia “Stronger Regional Integration in the Balkans”, to be attended by Prime Ministers of the Western Balkan countries.
