Budget revenues in January this year, according to today’s announced table for the budget execution performed above the expectations, overperformed by 0.9 percents.
 
According to Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, the Budget, as a whole, shows sound and good execution, in particular, as he said, VAT revenues overperformed by 3 percents, tax which is most expanded, indicating recovery of economic activities.
Minister also said that the revenues in January 2011, amounting to Denar 10.352 billion were significantly higher than the revenues in January last year.
 
When asked bout the published NBRM data on increased inflation in January, Minister Stavreski said that it is the first month in the year and the projected inflation of 3 percents will be realized by the end of the year.
 
– We base this on the mixture of sound moderate fiscal and monetary policy and that is what is the most important as regards the general price increase. I believe that such projections will be realized by the end of the year, i.e. Republic of Macedonia, as so far, will experience inflation no higher than 3 percents, Minister Stavreski stated.
 
During his visit to Radovisko yesterday, he pointed pout that he expects for the industry to grow by five to eight percents this year.
 
– Mining and metal industry will experience good year, and that will also contribute to better performance of the industry as a whole. My expectations are that the industry will grow between five and eight percents during 2011, Vice Prime Minister Stavreski said.(MIA)
