1st November 2024, Skopje – Ministry of Finance adopted a new Rulebook regarding the manner of credit risk management of financial companies improving the process of identification of clients when approving a loan, whereas data refer to no citizens’ complaints regarding misuse of personal data being filed before the Ministry of Finance in 2024, highlighted by Ministry of Finance representatives, participating at Microbalkans 2024 Regional Conference, which was held in the period 31st October – 1st November 2024, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As indicated, Ministry of Finance will continue to carry out strengthened controls over the operations of the financial companies with identified potential risks according to the set criteria in the new Rulebook on Supervision, all to the end of protecting the citizens using the services of these financial institutions.
A country’s delegation consisting of representatives of both the Group of Non-banking Financial Companies with the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia and the National Bank attended the conference, being organized by the Association of Microfinance of Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina with EU support. The aim is to encourage microfinance sector development in the Western Balkans through strengthened cooperation and innovations.
