Skopje, 22nd May 2014 (MIA) – Government of the Republic of Macedonia paid Denar 12.2 million from the state budget as aid for the damages caused by the floods in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As Ministry of Finance stated, each country is paid Denar 6.1 million, i.e. EUR 100,000, as aid.
The press release also stated that the Government decided that all funds, to be collected through the opened phone lines for donations, be paid up to last Denar as humanitarian aid for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, i.e. the state would not collect VAT, but it would rather allocate it as humanitarian aid.
The Ministry said it was the time when solidarity with the citizens in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina needs to be shown and when aid of any kind is welcomed.
