Skopje, 12th August 2013 (MIA) – Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, announced fresh foreign investments, two Turkish, one American and several from the region.
– We are at the final stage of negotiations, i.e. signing of an investment agreement, with five companies, Vice Prime Minister said at the interview for MTV (Macedonian Television) last night.
He informed that Bunardzik and Kocani are just a few of the locations of the potential investors.
Two Turkish companies are engaged in the field of medicine and will invest in their plants in Bunardzik, while the American company has selected Kocani as a location to invest in. In addition to Bunardzik, there are potential investors for the other technological and industrial zones throughout Macedonia.
As Stavreski said, there will be foreign investments in Ohrid, Struga, Tetovo and Kicevo as well in the coming period. Thus, according to him, is good news, since it also contributes to job creation and better living standard of the citizens.
According to National Bank data, FDIs in Macedonia in the first five months this year amounted to EUR 105.4 million.
