8th May 2018, Jordan – Minister of Finance Dragan Tevdovski takes part in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Annual Meetings to be held in Jordan, starting today. This year’s topic is “Energizing the Economy”.
The King of Jordan Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein will give welcoming speech at the EBRD Annual Meeting.
Minister, as Macedonia’s Governor at EBRD will take part in the Board of Governors’ roundtable, and he will also have his address at the Panel “Green Infrastructure”.
During the Annual Meetings, Tevdovski will also realize several bilateral meetings. It is envisaged for Minister Tevdovski to meet Vice President of the EBRD Pierre Heilbronn, the Director of EBRD constituency that includes Macedonia Frans Weekers, EBRD Director for Transport Sue Barrett, EBRD’s Power and Energy Director Harry Boyd-Carpenter and the Director for Municipal Infrastructure and Environment Sew Goeransson. Ongoing, as well as upcoming projects in the field of transport and energy infrastructure are planned to be discussed at the meetings.
At present, EBRD is granting support in the amount of EUR 707 million for projects in Macedonia, most of which are in the field of transportation, amounting to EUR 622 million. Since 1993 until today, EBRD has invested EUR 1.65 billion in 11 projects in Macedonia.
