Ministry of Finance will paid Denar 146.6 million as subsidies to 4,837 farmers for maintenance of fruit plantations Financial support amounts from Denar 15,000 to Denar 33,000 per hectare , depending on the type of the fruit.

Subsidies were paid to farmers growing pears, sour cherries, apples, peaches, apricots, cherries, quinces, medlars, plums, pomegranates, figs, aronia, blueberries, gooseberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and other types of fruit throughout the territory of the Republic of Macedonia.

Government, by regularly paying subsidies to farmers, remains committed to supporting the agriculture, which is one of the driving branches of Macedonian economy.
