Skopje, 25th November 2015 (MIA) –The newest investment launched in Ilinden Municipality is EUR 6.5 million worth. After one year of construction, the new factory for croissant production Grand Food Corporation Skopje was commissioned today.
The factory’s official start was marked by the company representatives, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski and the Mayor of Ilinden Municipality Zika Stojanovski.
Deputy Prime Minister Stavreski, at the opening ceremony, pointed out that the goal of both the central and local government is to support such successful businesses that create jobs.
– This new investment will provide for creating 90 jobs. The company has already employed 10 other employees in the distribution centers. This means 200 families or 800-900 persons will benefit from this investment, Minister said, adding that the family businesses creating jobs are the best thing they can do for their country.
He stressed that such family businesses, such as this investment, create most of the jobs in Europe, being the basis of both the economy and the business in all European countries.
He pointed out that the Government works on creating favourable business climate, meaning lower taxes, exemption of the businessmen from paying taxes, using afterwards these funds for construction of factories, favourable conditions within the Customs Administration, the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre and PRO, services the businessmen need so as to be able to export their products. This means, as Stavreski said, offering the land on which the factory has been built at lower prices and utility fees, as well as providing all other forms of support by the local government.
Mayor Stojanovski underlined that this is one of the largest investments realized in Ilinden Municipality, which as the other ones, contributes to local economic development and job creation.
– As of today, the business community in Ilinden has one more member, being richer by one more investment, being an essential element for sustainable economic development, Stojanovski said, expressing contentment that Grand Food chose exactly Ilinden as their investment destination.
Opening such production capacities that create jobs, as Stojanovski said, speak in favour of sustainable economic development.
Owner and founder of “Grand Export” from Skopje, Stojmen Jordanovski said that the beginnings of this successful family story dates back 25 ago, expressing his satisfaction that their vision became a reality.
– We managed to realize our visions. We expanded our business operations by building our own croissant production capacity. Under this new investment, we created jobs, we gave opportunity to the young people and their families to work and make progress in a motivated and economically prosperous environment, Jordanovski said.
The Chief Executive of “Grant Food Corporation” Goran Jordanovski” pointed out that it is a matter of completely independent investment, being the largest factory for production of croissants in this part of Europe according to the installed capacity.
The factory featuring modern technology covers an area of 6.000 square meters, and the production will be intended for the Macedonian market, the neighboring countries and the EU.
“Grand Export”, a selling and distribution company, has been present on Macedonian market since the beginning of 1992.
