Skopje, 24th December 2013 (MIA) – Ministry of Finance and the Municipality Mavrovo-Rostuse today signed Agreement for Financing the Project "Construction of Street Lighting of Two Sections of the Regional Road P-409 Mavrovo-Debar" in the amount of Denar 6,426,634. Funds have been provided through the Municipal Services Improvement Project MSIP, implemented by the Ministry of Finance together with the local authorities with financial support from the World Bank.

Project envisages procurement and construction of public street electric lighting of two sections of the regional road Mavrovo-Debar located on the territory of the Municipality Mavrovo-Rostuse.
The first location connects the inhabited areas Rostuse, Velebrdo and Trebiste where there is ongoing construction of sports and recreation complex. Ministry of Finance press release states that the lighting of this location will provide for developing the sports and recreational activities in the municipality.

The second location refers to lighting the economic zone, which is below the Zirovnica village, where two factories and one catering facility are located. – The lighting of this part of the road will increase the attractiveness of the zone for potential investors and will stimulate the economic activities in the municipalities, which will contribute to acceleration of the economic development and job creation, the press release stated.

Municipal Services Improvement Project MSIP has so far financed 30 municipalities that should contribute to improvement of the infrastructure in the municipalities, energy efficiency, water supply and sewerage, construction of kindergartens and other projects, which will improve the life in these municipalities.
