Moscow, 18th June 2012 (MIA) – Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday (21st June) in Saint Petersburg within the visit to the Russian Federation.
Vice Prime Minister Zoran Stavreski, who is part of the government delegation headed by Prime Minister Gruevski, said that the visit of Prime Minister Gruevski and the Macedonian delegation to Russia was of exceptional political and economic significance, since it was expected to yield a fresh signal for the political and economic relations between the two countries.
– As for the political part, I would like to point out that it is most important that Prime Minister Gruevski will meet President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, on Thursday within the prestige forum in Saint Petersburg. The meeting will send new signal not only with respect to the political relations between the two countries, but also as regards the economic ties between our countries in the coming years. It is one more confirmation that Republic of Macedonia is welcomed in Russia at the highest level and we have an open door here for development of political, above all economic, relations, which we are especially interested in, Stavreski emphasized.
Macedonian delegation commenced its visit to the Russian Federation Monday in Moscow, where Macedonia’s investment opportunities were presented before around hundred Russian investors, and Memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Republic of Macedonia and the Russian Federation. The delegation will visit City of Vladimir tomorrow, followed by the visit to Nizhny Novgorod, cities reach in natural resources, with exceptionally strong investment base, expected to trigger new potential investments for Macedonia.
