Skopje, 19th June 2012 (MIA) – As a result of the increased interest shown by the Russian companies in the investment opportunities offered by Macedonia, last night in Moscow, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and the government team had several working meetings with representatives of several companies.


These are companies that have already shown interest in expanding their business and capital outside Russia, which, due to the excellent investment opportunities offered by Macedonia, have cast their eyes over the country, government press release announced.

Interested companies are engaged in textile industry, pharmacology, construction and energy.

Macedonian Government team, within its road show to Russia, will promote investment opportunities and advantages for starting-up and doing business in Macedonia at the Business Forum in the City of Vladimir today. It is envisaged for the government team, also comprising Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, Minister of Economy, Valon Saraqini, and Minister without Portfolio in charge of Attracting Foreign Investments, Bil Pavleski, to meet Vladimir Region Governor, Nikolai Vinogradov.

Macedonian economic team started its visit to the Russian Federation by visiting Moscow, where it participated in the Business Forum organized by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Prime Minister Gruevski met Moscow Region Governor, Sergey Shoygu, as well as “Protek Group” management team.
