Skopje, 18th August 2013 (MIA) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Zoran Stavreski, on Sunday, informed that the next year’s Budget is already under preparation and that the Ministry of Finance started the necessary discussions and preparations with the other departments.
– I am focused, together with the Ministry of Finance and the other Ministries, on preparing the 2014 Budget. We have already started the preparations and discussions with the Ministries. At the same time, we will work on the medium-term framework, i.e. the indicative 2015 and 2016 Budgets, Stavreski said, when asked about the possibility for Supplementary budget.
Following this month, Deputy Prime Minister said, we will see whether there is need for any corrections.
– We will wait for the results in August and see whether any corrections are necessary. However, what is most important is that, as a whole , the realization of the Budget and the revenues is within the projections, Stavreski said when visiting the construction site of JSC for Business and Housing Management in the settlement “Reonski centar” in Aerodrom Municipality.
According to him, the end of the long-lasting recession in the Eurozone is a positive signal, however, both the Government and the business sector should remain active.
– Thus, Macedonian business sector may believe that there will be increased demand from the Eurozone countries, however, this will not happen all of a sudden, i.e. challenges still lie ahead. We should all jointly continue with the efforts, the reform dynamics and the business climate improvement, by providing cheap credits. We as a Government, should remain active, as well as the companies since there is no room for too much relaxation. However, one should be slightly bigger optimist given the positive results in the European economy, Stavreski said.
