Skopje, 12th April 2013 (MIA) – This year, Macedonia will manage to realize the projected economic performance, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski said.
Answering to journalist’s question before the start of today’s marking of the 21st anniversary of the Customs Administration, Stavreski said that gradual recovery of European economy may be expected in the second half of the year.
– In line with the achieved results in the first quarter of 2013, economic activity in Europe is at still relatively low level, however, the expectations of all eminent European economists are that gradual recovery of European economy may be expected in the second half of the year. We have the same expectations. There are still many risks, however, we hope that the economic activity will go in positive direction and that this upward trend of the industrial production, starting in Macedonia in January, will continue, Stavreski pointed out.
He expressed hope that the construction sector and other activities will also experience sound performance.
