Strumica, 28th November 2012 (MIA) – Macedonian economy is under pressured by the recession in the Eurozone, the Macedonian industry feeling the effects therefrom the most. However, what the Government can do under these circumstance is to provide additional funds for the Macedonian enterprises, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, said when asked by the journalists about the announced statistical data on the decline of the industrial production.
In the coming period, the Minister expects for additional EUR 15 million to be withdrawn from the credit line extended from the European Investment Bank, to be used by 43 companies.
– EUR 15 million is a significant amount of funds for the Macedonian companies and I believe that thus we can help, as much as we can, the companies to easily overcome this ordeal, I hope part of them will be provided liquid funds to overcome these problems, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Stavreski said.
As he added, developments in Europe were of crucial importance, expressing hope that recession there would gradually weaken and the Macedonian economy would thus return in the positive zone.
