Skopje, 9th June 2012 (MIA) – Government will help rehabilitate the damages to houses and other property caused by the earthquake that hit Ohrid region last Thursday, Vive Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, said today.
Following the visit to Belcista Village, together with Minister of Internal Affairs, Gordana Jankulovska, he pointed out that commission formed by the municipality will go out on the field to assess the damages.
– Municipal commission will go out on the field to survey the houses to assess property damages. On the basis of the assessment, government commission will convene and assess total costs and will provide budget funds, Stavreski said.
He pointed out that funds would be provided for full rehabilitation of the houses and the property of the citizens in the locations hit by the earthquake.
– We will help them repair their homes, to be able to return and to feel safe, as well as to be able to live normally, Stavreski said.
Mayor of Debraca Municipality, Ljupco Kojcinoski, said that there were damages caused in other populated locations Velmej, Lesani, Slatino, …
– So far, around 20 houses in Belcista are reported to have been damaged, while no reports have been submitted so far from the other populated locations, Kojcinoski said.
Local government, as he added, undertakes measures. Municipality Council will hold session on Monday, at which Damage Assessment Commission is to be formed to go out on the filed on Monday.
