Skopje, 18th August 2015 (MIA) – Total of 4,622 persons are employed through the “Macedonia Employs” Project as of last Friday inclusive. It is significant that people from all categories have found job, i.e. around 2,000 are young people up to the age of 35 on one hand, and around 1,000 over the age of 50 are also engaged on the other, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, said today.
When asked by the journalists, Deputy Prime Minister Stavreski pointed out among those employed over the age of 50, around 250 people were older than 58.
– These people would have never been hired by the companies if it was not for this Government Project. Hence, the Government is satisfied when a certain measure yields such results, when it provides for employment of the people and resolving the employment issues of large number of citizens, Stavreski underlined at the beginning of the reconstruction of “Praska” Street in Kapros Municipality.
He said that employers showed great interest in this Government Project since, as he stated, it provides them large savings as they can hire people and not pay the health and pension insurance contributions.
