Strumica, 11th September 2015 (MIA) – So far, more than 2,500 companies have used the opportunity for land purchase under the Government Project launched in 2009, and such support and assistance to the business community will continue, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski said at today’s visit to Vasilevo Municipality.
– Over 2, 500 companies in Macedonia have used the possibility to purchase the land, whereby, the Ministry of Finance and the Government provided assistance, through direct companies with some of the companies, for resolving certain complex issues related to land privatization, so that both the big and the small ones could purchase the land, Stavreski said responding to journalist’s question.
Land purchase, as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski underlined, is a very significant for the companies, since as he said, they could afterwards use it as a mortgage when applying for a bank loan.
– I am satisfied with this process and we will continue to support and assist the companies and all those interested in privatizing the land under exceptionally favourable conditions, Stavreski pointed out.
He mentioned once again that the project for land purchase was one of the long-lasting requests of the businessmen in Macedonia, which none of the previous government managed to tackle.
– As of 2009, we made it possible for the land purchase to be realized under favourable conditions with a discount of 30% if the companies pay it in cash at affordable prices, Stavreski said.
