Strumica, 18th July 2012 (MIA) – Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, laid cornerstone for new water supply system in Canaklija Village which, as he said, will provide the citizens in this inhabited area 24-hour clean and healthy drinking water, unlike so far, when they were supplied water for only one hour during the day.
– World Bank provided Denar 20 million for the realization of the water supply system, with 1.6% interest rate, 3-year grace period and 10-year repayment period. Vasilevo Municipality also participates in the construction of the water supply system with its own funds in the amount of Denar 5 million. Thus, the construction will contribute to overcoming the present problems of supply of drinking water for just one hour a day, Stavreski said.
In the presence of Vasilevo Mayor, Vanco Stojanov, Vice Prime Minister Zoran Stavreski expressed his commitment to resolve one of the most vital decade-long issues for the life in Canaklija.
Stavreski underlined the cooperation between the central and the local authorities in resolving the problems of the inhabitants in this municipality, above all by creating conditions for accelerated local economic development in the newly opened economic zone, as well as through the series of advantages the Government provides for development of small- and medium-sized enterprises, together with a package of measures for overcoming the crisis.
Mayor Stojanov said that construction of the new modern water supply network, reaching to every home in Canaklija, will provide for healthy drinking water, thus the municipality, together with the Government and Canaklija inhabitants, resolve one more mutual problem.
– By constructing water supply system in Canaklija, Vasilevo Municipality completes the mosaic of water supply for all inhabitants in this municipality, Stojanov added.
He also announced the construction of the local road Canaklija – Nova Maala, which is to commence soon.
