Negotino 14th February 2014 (MIA) – Subsidies for vine growing have been fully paid, and according to the plan, the subsidies for the other branches in the agriculture are being paid, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski said on Friday answering journalist’s question following the grapevine pruning in Negotino at the occasion of the Saint Trifun’s Day.
– In the past period subsidies were paid to vine growers. Denar 386 million was paid to 12,615 vine-growers. Subsidies for tobacco also started to be paid and over 27 tobacco producers have already obtained their money for subsidizing the production. Those who are yet to sell the tobacco will also obtain their subsidies. What is significant is that around one billion and 200 million denars have been already paid for subsidizing the tobacco, Deputy Prime Minister said.
He went on that the Budget is in good condition, having good liquidity and that the payment of subsidies is realized according to the plan. He announced that payment of subsidies for sheep is planned to be realized next week.
– We are satisfied, he said, with the operations of both the Agency for Financial Support in Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Agriculture, which carried out the examinations within exceptionally short deadline so as for the farmers to obtain their subsidies on time.
He stressed that the Government of the Republic of Macedonia remains to be committed to supporting agriculture.
