Skopje, 29th January 2015 (MIA) –As a result of the realization of several investments, already being in their final stage and confirmed by the foreign investors, as regards employments and the offered perspectives, the citizens from Ohrid and Struga will face better times, Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski pointed out answering the question of MP Nola Ismajlovska.
– “Kostal” is renown German company, engaged in mechatronics and manufacturing of car spare parts of the most famous global companies, such as Mercedes, BMW… It manufactures electronic products for windows and other components of the cars for these giants, meaning that they will mainly look for engineers and experts in these areas such as electronics, mechatronics and similar, Stavreski said.
He explained that this investment will provide for creating jobs for people with higher and secondary vocational education, as well as for certain number of economists and lawyers. Total number of the announced jobs is around 1000, having in mind the perspectives for these jobs to further increase if some other additional plans announced by “Kostal” are realized.
Deputy Prime Minister Stavreski informed that that they had discussions with the representatives from the German company about their request to hire one of the halls of “EMO Ohrid”, thus launching their investment, to be followed with construction of the “Kostal” factory.
-This is the plan of both “Kostal” and the Government. In line with this plan, i.e. when employing and announcing the notices, I expect good news for a big number of citizens from Struga and Ohrid meeting the necessary requirements I had already mentioned, Stavreski said, indicating that the Government also conducts negotiations with other companies for this region.
He stressed that the region of Ohrid and Struga offers good conditions as regards the infrastructure, while with respect to the Government and the general conditions for doing business, they are among the best in the world.
– As you are already aware, our country has high ranking in the ease of Doing Business Index and numerous investors assessed our Macedonia as a leader in the region according to the general conditions for doing business, meaning good business climate and low costs for companies, including low taxes and what is a special segment is the qualified and skilled labour force Macedonia has at its disposal, Stavreski pointed out.
